Holistic & Person-Centered Therapy

JULIET HIEBLER

Professional Therapist Associate

Bachelor of Science in Public Health, Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling with a Trauma Informed Certification

I want you to know that I have been where you are. I have felt immense emotional pain, grief, anxiety, and self-doubt throughout my life. With the self-work I’ve done in these areas throughout the years, I realized I wanted to help others on their journey. Truth be told the work is never over but it’s an honor to stay committed to the process and it has brought me here to today to serve others.

I believe it’s important to share some identity locations for transparency and hope it connects me to the right clients.

I am a white, straight, cis-gender woman with she/her pronouns and the friendships I have within the queer and gender non-conforming community are a blessing to me. I am a plus-size person and have been since childhood. I have Jewish, Italian and German heritage and have lived most of my life living at or below the poverty line. Both of my parents have died in the last few years and my family has a history of Substance Use Disorder and multiple levels of trauma. I identify as neurodivergent, call myself a witch and am radical about social equity and holistic health access.

This is by no means a exhaustive or all encompassing list but it’s an important one.

FAQs

  • You’ll get a reminder email every week the day before your session with a link to the video chat on the platform I use, Simple Practice.

My office space is private and quiet (you might see my cats now & then) and I recommend you have a private, quiet (AND COZY) space to tune in as well! In fact, I encourage you to have a favorite drink or snack with you. Maybe light a candle, grab a notebook & grab a soft blanket!

The pros of all virtual? NO commuting which saves you a ton of time. Plus you can wear your pajamas if you want!

  • I have partnered with Mindful Therapy Group. They are a health organization that helps private practice clinicians bill major insurance companies so they can see a wider scope of clients. If you currently have any of the following insurances, there is a good chance we can work together.

    • Kaiser

    • Aetna

    • Cigna

    • Pacific Source

    • Regence

    • Blue Cross/Blue Shield

    • Providence

    • Trillium OHP Medicaid

    • Care Oregon OHP Medicaid

As always, please contact your insurance providers to see what benefits are available to you and to check for any co-pays and deductibles you are responsible for.

    Additionally,

I also take cash-pay but can provide you with what is called a “Super Bill” that you can send to your insurance company and often get a reimbursement for your previous cash pay sessions!

Some of the benefits of going cash-pay are not needing a diagnosis upon our first session, not having a limit on how many sessions we can have and not having a paper trail of your mental health treatment.

  • The truth is, not really.

There are different types of counselors and therapists that hold their title from various degrees of education depending on the setting, services & environment. However, many use the terms interchangably in the mental health sphere.

For all intents and purposes for MY services here at Soft Moon - I hold a Master’s Degree from a Nationally Accredited Clinical Mental Health Counseling program where I learned how to diagnose, treat various mental health disorders, support people with various issues and focus on future goals.

For a sense of clarity, I used the title Therapist by choice!

  • It depends!

Some people in the field like to focus on helping clients reach their short-term goals and have them “graduate” from therapy services after a certain time (3 months, 6 months, you decide!)

I think this is perfectly fine and can fit well into someone’s life when they have specific things they want to work on and move on.

But I am also an advocate for long term therapeutic relationships if you are getting something out of it that is meaningful to you.

Therapy is deeply personal and not a one-size-fits-all. We can talk about any questions you have about this process!

Are you ready to flourish?
